I have been a psychiatric nurse since 2010. Working in most areas of psychiatry from inpatient psych to residential treatment programs. I obtained my Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas with focus as a Clinical Nurse Leader. I obtained a post certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I continue to add holistic health to her knowledge base and is a certified Clinical Aromatherapist and Tai Chi Instructor. I worked in a federal healthcare system for over a decade and created several local and national programs while focusing on optimal patient and staff holistic health outcomes. Due to these accomplishments, I was asked to develop a private program regarding whole health of one of the leading retailers in the world.
In 2022, I opened Salt and Light Holistic Health in Maumelle, AR. I had several family and friends who wanted to receive therapy services yet could not take them as patients due to the legalities of services. This is when I designed the online educational program, the 7-STEP BUTTERFLY METHOD. This is an eclectic style of therapy including concepts of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Anger Management, Social Skills Training, Mindfulness, and Meditation. I also utilize the 7-STEP BUTTERFLY METHOD as a framework to provide wellness support and program development for corporate companies.
I mentor nurses frequently especially training new PMHNPs as therapy concepts are lacking in many schools due to time restraints of programs. I was blessed to learned psychotherapy concepts from the best Psychiatrists and Licensed Clinical Social Workers. I teach and spread these concepts to all who want to learn.
While not working, I spend time with family and friends. At the center of our world is our rescue American Saddlebred horses and bully dogs. We also are a family of outdoor sports including archery, hunting, and gardening.

Hello! I is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 10 years experience providing mental health care to adults. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1999 and went on to obtain both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in nursing from UAMS . I have experience providing diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy for adult clients with multiple diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, insomnia, psychosis, and PTSD.
I utlize a collaborative approach with provider and client working together to identify treatment goals and needs. Though primary focus is on medication management, I believee in the importance of education, self-care, lifestyle change, and therapy to promote recovery. I believe that mental health recovery is not just the absence of psychiatric symptoms but must include consideration for your quality of life and overall wellness. I’m looking forward to meeting you and working together to help you to reach your goals.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and her pug, Pippa.
